Slow Cooker Apple Butter
Use your slow cooker to make apple butter at home with this quick and simple recipe. Apple Butter is great for baking, pork dishes or even just on a piece of toast!
Peel and core the apples. Chop into 1-2 inch pieces. Total amount of apple should equal about 10 small apples.
Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray and add apples. Add other ingredients and carefully mix.
Cook in slow cooker for about 4 hours on low. Stir occasionally. If you'd like, carefully add mixture to a blender for a smoother butter. Always use caution when blending hot mixtures. Store in an air tight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze individual portions in an ice cube tray!
