Tart Homemade Whole Cranberry Sauce

Four ingredient scratch made whole cranberry sauce

Tart Cranberry Sauce

 12 oz Fresh Cranberries
 1 cup Water
 2 cups White Granulated Sugar
 ¼ cup Orange Juice
 1 tsp Orange Zest

Combine cranberries, 1 cup sugar, water and orange juice into a medium saucepan and heat until boiling, stirring occasionally.

The cranberries will begin to pop after about 5-7 minutes. Continue boiling on low.

Once the cranberries begin foaming add the zest of one orange. Continue to boil another 5 minutes. Taste sauce (carefully, it will be HOT!) Add more sugar 1/4 cup at a time as needed to taste.

Remove cranberries from pan. Serve warm or room temperature.
