Quick Facts about Cinderella’s Royal Table

Here are the bullet point things you need to know about this dining experience:

  • Short of winning a contest, eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table is the only way to get inside of Cinderella’s castle, the epicenter of Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
  • Reservations are offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Breakfast reservations are about the hardest reservation to obtain in Disney World.
  • No matter the meal, this is a sit down restaurant where you will order from a menu. It counts as a Signature restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan (it will use *2* table service meal credits).
  • This is a character dining experience with Disney Princesses. Disney never guarantees which characters will be at a character meal.
  • Prices range from $69-$84 per adult and $42-$49 per child (ages 3-9). It is a set rate and you are able to order any one entree for this price.

Entering the Castle

By some miracle I scored a pre-Park opening dining reservation for Cinderella’s Royal Table. This means our reservation was before the Park opened, so we weren’t wasting precious Park time while being at a long table service meal. We were also able to get a great photo in front of the castle without large crowds all around us.

After a Cast Member checked our reservation and allowed us early entry to the Magic Kingdom, we approached the Castle. To check in for your ADR (Advanced Dining Reservation…I’ll slowly keep sneaking in these Disney acronyms!) follow the signs for Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Castle. A Cast Member will check you in and call you when its your turn.

Note: If you want your child to get a Princess makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a pre-opening reservation isn’t for you. You’ll need ample time for the makeover before your meal. We chose to have Cinderella “leave” a dress and letter in our hotel room inviting our little one to breakfast. This way she was decked out to meet Cindi.

Upon entering the Castle you’ll get to take in some of the decor and go up a winding staircase (there’s an elevator as well if needed). Cinderella herself will greet you and welcome you to her Castle! She takes photos and meets guests prior to you actually sitting in the restaurant. Don’t forget to look for Gus Gus and Jaq!

Any time you meet a character, its a great idea to have your autograph book opened to a blank page and ready to go. Characters love the retractable Sharpie markers (fat pens and markers are especially helpful to characters with large or stuffed hands)

A Cast Member will take you into the dining area. You truly feel like you’re in a castle with flags filling the high ceilings and suits of armor all around.

Each guest will receive a Wishing Star, with children receiving either a wand or toy sword. During the meal there will be special wishing ceremonies!

Upon being seated your server will bring pastries. My daughter loved the blueberry muffins.

Food!

I only have a few photos of our dining experience since character meals are such busy affairs. We all enjoyed our meals with my husband still maintaining that his steak and eggs are one of the best things he’s had on property! See the current menu here.

Beef Tenderloin and Egg*
Potatoes and Cheese Frittata with Broccolini, BoursinĀ® Cheese Sauce, and Chive Oil

I am not big on breakfast and just ordered the Traditional Breakfast with Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, and Potatoes. It was tasty, standard breakfast fare.

My kids both ordered the children’s Mickey-shaped Waffle, which is served with choice of two selections and choice of small drink. They chose bacon and scrambled eggs.

Princesses!

As I mentioned, everyone meets Cinderella upon entering the Castle. Then, like other Character meals, the rest of the Princesses will rotate around the tables to meet all of the diners. Each Princess will come to your table, don’t worry! Here is who we met during our breakfast:

Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Princess Jasmine

We also met-Snow White and Ariel (the human version lol).

Is Cinderella’s Royal Table worth the price tag?

Let’s do a little Disney math…assuming current prices, this meal cost us $222.00 before tax and gratuity. (We ate here before we had a third kiddo!) We were using the Disney Dining Plan so this cost two Table Service dining credits plus tip for us. In my opinion, the kids meals are absolutely not worth $45 and my food was not worth $69 either. My husband’s meal was something I’d expect to pay about $25-$30 for elsewhere on property.

All that being said….for the one-on-one time with Cinderella, a Character dining experience and the souvenirs, it was worth it during this trip. My daughter was at the height of her Princess moment and the photos are priceless now that she is an old serious tween. We have decided that this is most likely a one-and-done experience for us, but we’re glad we can check it off our Disney bucket list.

Still trying to decide if this is worth the price tag for your family? Here are some things to consider:

-If you’re trying to save time and meet several Princesses at once, this is a great way to do it.
-Does your family care about Princesses or eating inside the Castle? If not, there are way better restaurants available on Property given the price.
-Eating lunch or dinner here could be an excellent way to get your money’s worth from Disney Dining credits if you can carefully plan the rest of your meals. (Don’t forget you will need to plan on a gratuity still!)
