I thought I’d do something a little different and let L (10) takeover my blog today! Enjoy his review on the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game below. (This is written based on pre-COVID Disney conditions).

What is Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom?
If you are a fan of collectible card games and are going to Walt Disney World, look no further than Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom! It is a really fun game to play when lines for rides are long. This augmented reality game will have you running to different “Portals” trying to thwart Hades’ evil plan to make the Magic Kingdom a villain summer retreat! How you play the game depends on your choice of difficulty at the beginning of the game:
easy mode= use pretty much any card to defeat the enemies.
Hard mode= put some strategy into playing.
Where to Begin?
To begin playing, go to The fire station on Main Street,they’ll get you all set up. At the beginning of your journey, you and your other party members are given five free cards. Each day you go to the Magic Kingdom you can all get another five cards 100% free. If you go to the Emporium shop you will find some packs of cards but they are $15 for seven cards. (Edit: Remember this game no longer occurs in the Magic Kingdom. All information is based on past experiences)
Let’s Talk Strategy
Each spell card has four statistics: attack, boost, shield, and method. Attack is how much damage you do to the villain. Boost is just a stat for the at-home version of the game. Shield protects you from the villain’s attacks. And finally method is how you attack. It is the key to winning. You must think about who you are battling and what type of method you should use against them. Method is shown above your attack, boost and shield stats.
Card Collecting
Did you know that there are some exclusive cards for Mickey’s not-so-scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party as well? Also if you were a cast member working on the project you would have gotten an oversized card called the Cast Member’s Power of the Four Keys, it is exclusive to them as well!
This is a super- fun game to play, and I definitely recommend playing it if you have time. I hope I have been a good help to you and have told you good information about this great game.
