Ohana
Originally posted Spring 2020 By clicking on an affiliate link, I may make a small amount of money at no extra cost to you, thank you for your support! Ohana means family. It is also an amazing restaurant at the Polynesian Resort in Walt Disney World. I thought it would be the perfect grand finale meal to our Disney Staycation and attempted Ohana- a Disney meal at home! While the restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, we have only dined there for dinner. It is served family style (of course) and there are 10 different menu items brought to your table. So what was I thinking trying to replicate this at…

Please accept this rose…
Originally posted Spring 2020 “Tale as old as time…tune as old as song…” Sorry, couldn’t help myself. If you grew up in the 90’s and are even the tiniest Disney fan- you know that this rose is from “Beauty and the Beast”! In Disney World you can visit the Beast’s castle by eating at Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. That’s just what we did for our sixth evening of our Disney staycation. Affiliate Links in this post, your purchase helps to support my family at no cost to you! The Disney Character Store on Amazon On our menu for the evening: The first thing I made was…

Taquitos in Epcot
Originally posted Spring 2020 *Post may contain affiliate links TLDR: Easy taquito recipe inspired by the Mexico pavilion at Disney’s Epcot. I tweeted out a hint as to our Disney destination today, where do you think we’re going? Did you guess Epcot? Good job! Bienvenidos a Mexico! Epcot is occasionally my favorite park. Even though it sometimes gets a bad wrap as the educational or boring park, it has a lot of the best food in all of Walt Disney World. Had I been feeling more adventurous I would’ve tackled fish n’ chips or the fanciest of French food for our Epcot dinner…but we’re in month two of quarantine and…

Pandora Pinterest Fails
TLDR: Recipes from Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom So far our Disney week at home has been full of all hits, no misses….until I “took” us to Pandora in the Animal Kingdom. For starters this is what the tiny one did to my kitchen: Recovering from that, I set out to make the food of Pandora from Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu. Steamed Cheeseburger Pods The beautiful picture above (compliments of http://Disneydishesblog.com) is what a cheeseburger pod from Satu’li Canteen looks like. It is a bun stuffed with ground beef, cheese, ketchup, mustard and pickles. I decided to make my own baked version of this park favorite. Cheeseburger Stuffed Crescent…

Thank you for your support!* TLDR: Recipe for Mickey Mouse marshmallow treats and an at-home version of a meal from The Plaza restaurant at Disney World. At this point in our Disney staycation, the weekend is over and it is back to homeschooling. For the sake of readability and organization I am going to do a separate post on all of our Disney homeschooling activities. You can find them here and here. In the meantime I will continue with our daily food updates this week! Today we once…

We will be eating our meals from Sleepy Hollow and Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom. First up-lunch. Making Magic-One Meal at a Time
Originally posted Spring 2020 Since we can’t go to Disney in person I am bringing the Disney magic home to us! After our super successful brunch we “traveled” to Disney Springs for dinner to eat at Chicken Guy. See my awesome & realistic decor below: L has been obsessed with Guy Fieri for a very long time. He was so looking forward to going to his restaurant during our trip. It wasn’t even in our original plan but L was so insistent we made room in the schedule. We’ve even watched YouTube videos reviewing the menu items! Luckily for me, the menu is pretty simple and easy to replicate. We…

Tortilla Soup
Updated October 2023 Jump to recipe September is here! I’m not a crazy pumpkin spice person (gasp!) but I do love the crunchy leaves, sweatshirt weather and making warm cozy meals for my family. I decided to do another freezer meal stash before school started (I promise that post is coming at some point! Edit: It’s been three years now and I still owe you all that freezer post…whoops but I have made a few dinner idea posts! See here and here) and wanted to include a soup. I asked the kiddos what they wanted and tortilla soup was the clear winner. Note- Some links may be affiliate links, This…
