    How to Homeschool with Disney

Originally posted Spring 2020 Since Covid ruined our real vacation plans, we had a Disney staycation last week. I’ve already posted about all of the amazing meals and theme nights we had, (see here) but we also had a week full of Disney activities for our homeschooling! The world of Disney gives us a wealth of literary, art, history, science and math homeschooling activities. Of course I consulted Pinterest for some inspiration and there ain’t a whole lot out there. One of the only Pins I found was from…

    Ohana

Originally posted Spring 2020 By clicking on an affiliate link, I may make a small amount of money at no extra cost to you, thank you for your support! Ohana means family. It is also an amazing restaurant at the Polynesian Resort in Walt Disney World. I thought it would be the perfect grand finale meal to our Disney Staycation and attempted Ohana- a Disney meal at home! While the restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, we have only dined there for dinner. It is served family style (of course) and there are 10 different menu items brought to your table. So what was I thinking trying to replicate this at…

In Disney World you can visit the Beast’s castle by eating at Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. That’s just what we did for our sixth evening of our Disney staycation. Even though it sometimes gets a bad wrap as the educational or boring park, it has a lot of the best food in all of Walt Disney World. Had I been feeling more adventurous I would’ve tackled fish n’ chips or the fanciest of French food for our Epcot dinner…but we’re in month two of quarantine and…

    Pandora Pinterest Fails

TLDR: Recipes from Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom So far our Disney week at home has been full of all hits, no misses….until I “took” us to Pandora in the Animal Kingdom. For starters this is what the tiny one did to my kitchen: Recovering from that, I set out to make the food of Pandora from Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu. Steamed Cheeseburger Pods The beautiful picture above (compliments of http://Disneydishesblog.com) is what a cheeseburger pod from Satu’li Canteen looks like. It is a bun stuffed with ground beef, cheese, ketchup, mustard and pickles. I decided to make my own baked version of this park favorite. Cheeseburger Stuffed Crescent…

Today we once again concentrated on the Magic Kingdom (see yesterday’s menu here) and made homemade Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats. Later we will enjoy dinner “at” The Plaza.…

He was so looking forward to going to his restaurant during our trip. It wasn’t even in our original plan but L was so insistent we made room in the schedule. We’ve even watched YouTube videos reviewing the menu items! Luckily for me, the menu is pretty simple and easy to replicate. We…
